The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NVCCF) helps families who have had a child diagnosed with a life threatening or critical illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell anemia and other immunological diseases. NVCCF provides comfort and support while empowering and educating families and support staff. Working side-by-side with the patient's medical team the Foundation provides social emotional, educational and psychological support services to families of ALL children who are diagnosed with a life threatening or critical illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, renal disease and other immunologic diseases.
As our community grows, so do the needs of children and families. According to the National Cancer Foundation, "one in every 330 children in the United States develops cancer before the age of nineteen. Moreover, incidence of cancer among children is increasingÉcancer continues to be the number one disease killer of children from the age of one year through adolescence." With your support, our programs will continue and new, much needed programs can be funded:
