Winners of Money Management Letter's 7th Annual Public Pension Fund Awards for Excellence were announced at a dinner and ceremony on Sunday evening, March 2, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, CA, USA. The awards were held in association with Information Management Network's 13th Annual Public Funds Summit, March 3-5, 2008.
The Public Pension Fund Awards dinner and ceremony has become the premier celebration and networking event for the U.S. public pension fund investment community. The awards recognize the public pension funds, consultants, asset management firms and marketers that have excelled in their professions over the previous year, and are given by the editors and reporters of Institutional Investor's Money Management Letter newsletter following their industry-wide due diligence.
This year's dinner enjoyed an unprecedented turnout, hosting more than 220 leaders and luminaries from every facet of the public funds industry, including more than 90 plan sponsors and consultants!
